The percentage of all NBA field goal attempts coming from beyond the arc has increased each of the last 11 seasons (from 22% in 2010-11, to 39% last season). To no one's surprise, The 3pt Revolution has trickled down to college, high school, and youth basketball.
In 2022 3pt Open Founder Jordan Wartman set out to create an event that would attract and showcase the very best 3pt shooters in the world. The Inaugural 3pt Open saw more than 100 elite sharpshooters compete for $100,000. From overseas professionals, NBA G-League Players, and social media influencers, to ‘that-guy-from-your-local-gym-that-doesn’t-miss.’ “We’re excited to build on last year’s momentum and to continue to grow the 3pt Open brand in 2023,” says Jordan.
Harrisburg, PA-based attorney, Jordan Wartman, founded 3pt Open with the singular goal of creating the world's greatest 3pt shooting competition. A self-proclaimed hoops junkie, Jordan played Division II hoops at Bloomsburg University.
